Collection of coins and archaeological finds
In the first hall of the exhibit, besides the collection of coins used in this area and found in the near surroundings, also original archeological findings from Prehistoric Ages, through the Stone Age, Bronze Age, all the way to findings from the Roman times, captivate the visitor. Exactly these evidence very ancient settlements of this area, even though the first written reference about Zeliezovce only originates from the year 1274 (about the current town parts Mikula from year 1075, and Svodov from year 1175). Not by a coincidence are the wide surroundings with findings from Neolithic culture from years 4300 to 3900 BC worldwide called ‘Zeliezovce group’.
